# TASK 3: Batch Lifecycle, Checkpoints, And Failure Packaging

## Summary

This task will finalize the operational contract for stage-level batches, checkpoints, reruns, supersede semantics, and failed-package handling across the Brink orders ETL flow. We will use it to make `extract_raw`, later `normalize_load`, and downstream stages operationally traceable and replayable without inventing ad-hoc metadata rules in each module.

This task will be elaborated in the next step. It will also define the unit-test coverage for lifecycle semantics and the live verification expectations where failure packaging can be observed on real integrations.
